Tanker 10 on Yorktown Fully Involved House Fire
By CFD Reporter 912
December 11, 2020
Around 2PM on Friday, the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department's Tanker 10 was summoned to a reported house fire on Blinn Road, located just south of our district line in the Town of Yorktown.
Croton units were amongst the first to arrive, finding a single family dwelling fully engulfed in flames. Members attempted to locate missing pets but were unable to due to the heavy amount of fire and the threat of an exploding propane tank.
Car 2082 and T10 assisted in fire extinguishment, water supply operations, overhaul and cleanup for nearly five hours. Ten COHFD volunteers were on scene with a number more back in the district in the event of additional calls.
