April 24, 2020
Just before 9:30 PM on Friday 4/24/20, the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department was alerted to a motor-vehicle fire on Route 9 near the Warren Road overpass. While responding, 60 Control advised of conflicting reports of it's actual location, but that it sounded like a working fire.
Car 2082 (Assistant Chief Munson) arrived first, marking off with a pickup truck going with no occupants. Tanker 10 arrived next along with Car 2083 (Assistant Chief Karpoff) with members stretching 100’ of 1 3/4” attack hose and knocking down the blaze with assistance from the Engine 118 & Rescue 18 crews.
All units cleared within an hour once the vehicle was towed away.
