Our Response District
The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department provides our services to the following areas;
- The Village of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.
- The Mount Airy & Quaker Bridge Fire Protection Districts in the Town of Cortlandt, N.Y.
- The Croton River
- The Hudson River
- The Croton Dam & Croton Reservoir
- Route 9 (also known as the Briarcliff-Peekskill Expressway)
- MTA Metro-North Croton-Harmon Industrial Yards
- Croton Point Park
Our response area is broken down into several zones or "boxes." Each box is a geographical area where the apparatus response plan is based on several factors including hydrant availability, the types of structures, access issues and more. Below is a breakdown of our boxes and the areas they represent. The boxes in RED are Tanker Response Areas.
