With temperatures in the single digits the past couple of days, Croton's Bravest have been keeping busy.

In the 27 hour period between 3pm on Tuesday the 22nd and 6pm Wednesday the 23rd, the volunteers of the CFD have responded to eight incidents in this blustery cold.

On Tuesday the CFDFAST responded on a dual response with Yorktown to a possible fire in their commercial district and were called off en route. Other incidents on Tuesday included a Commercial Alarm minor MVA and a possible chimney fire.

Wednesday had the CFD responding to a Residential Alarm, outside smoke investigation, activated CO detector and a FAST response to a working house fire in Ossining. With reports of smoke from a house in Croton while the CFDFAST was operating in Ossining, Car 2083 requested an additional Engine & Truck as a precaution. Luckily this incident turned out to be false.

No matter the weather conditions, you can always count on the proud volunteers of the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.
