On Tuesday, at 3:17 PM, our Firefighter Assist & Search Team was dispatched to the "10-75" confirmed structure fire on Charter Circle in Ossining. There, Ossining Fire had fire in a top floor apartment running the cockloft of a 12-unit, 3-story garden apartment building.

Upon arrival, Utility 14 was informed our manpower was needed to assist with gaining entry and searching apartments. Per our team policy, a crew was designated for this task, and remaining personnel provided a FAST until relieved by Thornwood Fire Department. At this point, remaining CFD personnel assisted with various tasks in the fire building.

Additionally, while our FASTeam was pulling out of Station 2, 60 Control dispatched Tower Ladder 44 to Ossining FD Headquarters for coverage. This request was also fulfilled in short order.

An aggressive interior attack by Ossining Fire Department prevented a larger fire, and in turn got it under control rather quickly.

On scene from ‎Croton Fire‬ were Car 2083, Car 2084, Car 2085 & Utility 14. Providing coverage at OFD HQ were Car 2081 & TL44.

A total response of over 20 CFD volunteers assisted our neighbors to the south, while keeping personnel in Croton to staff our remaining apparatus.
Reports of a couple injuries to firefighters and police officers have been made, and our thoughts are with all for a speedy recovery.
